    We are currently seeking a Lease Auditor to join our Accounting team. This position will be responsible for all aspects of store lease accounting, and provides an exciting opportunity for decision making, business growth, and advancement potential.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned).

    • Ensure that rent payments are made timely and accurately.
    • Perform desktop audits of landlord invoices (including year-end NNN reconciliations) for compliance with contracts.
    • Resolve landlord billing errors.
    • Review new store/facility leases and amendments.
    • Maintain/update lease accounting abstracts/databases.
    • Determine appropriate accounting treatment (operating vs finance).
    • Prepare month-end real estate accounting entries and account reconciliations.
    • Budget assigned expense accounts during annual budget process.
    • Prepare reports for distribution including official store count.
    • Prepare pass-thru billings for subtenants.
    • Assist with special projects.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     Education/Experience: 

    Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years experience of leasing contracts and or real estate experience prefered.

     

    Technical:  Knowledge of CoStar Real Estate Manager and imtermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

     

    Physical:  Sitting at workstation will constitute up to 75% or more of a work shift.  Standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to approximately 30 lbs. as needed. Able to use equipment for 50% or more of a work shift including reading from a computer monitor, operating calculator and typing on a computer keyboard.  Maintain a consistently high degree of accuracy on routine tasks with time constraints of the job duties.
